Donations in memoriam
If you wish to collect donations in memory of your loved one, we can handle them for you at no extra charge.
Simple, fee-free donations
We can look after both online and cash donations on your behalf.
We don’t charge any fees for or make any deductions from the donations that we process. We prefer that the charity gets the full benefit of every donation instead.
How our donation service works
-
Beneficiaries
You tell us which charities, causes or clubs people should donate to. It can be as many or as few as you wish.
-
Donations
People can donate: online by card, by sending us a cheque made payable to the relevant charity, or in cash at the funeral (we can supply collection boxes).
-
Duration
People can make donations as soon as the funeral has been agreed and for 4 weeks after the funeral.
-
Forward
We forward the donations on your behalf.
-
Donors
We tell you how much was donated. We can also give you a list of donors if you wish to thank them personally.
Cash donations at the funeral
If you wish to collect cash donations at the service, we can supply collection boxes. We are happy to transport the collections for you after the service, even if you wish to deal with cash donations yourself.
Gift Aid
If the organisation is registered for Gift Aid, our online service completes the Gift Aid declaration when a donor states they are eligible. We don’t offer Gift Aid on cheque or cash donations.
