Funeral plans
Whether you choose to plan and pay in advance, or just to plan, deciding on the main details now is a thoughtful way to save your family from uncertainty later on.
Why get a funeral plan?
Funeral plans offer a number of benefits that include getting what you want, giving your family peace of mind and fixing the cost of your funeral director’s services at today’s prices.
Types of funeral plan
Whichever type of plan you choose, once in place, a copy of your wishes is kept on file and all it takes is a single phone call to get the arrangements underway.
1. Pre-planned funerals
A pre-planned funeral allows you to plan your funeral with us in advance. We can discuss as few or as many of your wishes as you like. You can cover the basics and let your family take care of the other arrangements, or you can specify everything down to the last detail.
2. Pre-paid funerals
A pre-paid funeral plan will appeal to anyone keen to get their financial affairs in order early. All your wishes are planned out and paid for in advance. It locks in our funeral director services at today’s prices.
The Golden Charter funeral plans we offer also include an allowance toward third party costs which are essential, non-funeral director services such as the cremation or burial fees, plus the minister or officiant’s fee to perform the service. These costs are out of our control. However, the allowance included in your plan may grow over time and there would only be more to pay at the time of the funeral if the third party costs exceed the allowance when you buy your plan, or if the costs increase by more than the growth of your plan.
We offer pre-paid funeral plans from Golden Charter, one of the UK’s largest funeral plan providers. Jump to footnote 1. They are tailored to suit your wishes and can be paid for in a number of different ways.
