Our chapels

Our modern chapels offer a peaceful and private place where you can visit your loved one before the funeral, or hold a smaller, more intimate funeral service.

A space for reflection and remembrance

Our chapels have been carefully designed to feel calm and welcoming for both visits to your loved one and as a space to hold a funeral.

Visiting your loved one

If you’d like to visit your loved one, please get in touch to make an appointment.

For small funerals and ceremonies

Our chapels serve as a cost-conscious option for small funerals, often costing considerably less than holding the service at the crematorium.

Each chapel has been specially fitted out with neutral decor, stands for flowers and a TV and built-in sound system for sharing music or tributes. We have Christian faith items available should you need them.

  • TV screen and built-in sound system for sharing tributes and music

Our building has a wide door with a step-free entrance for wheelchair access. Please let us know before you arrive if you need some assistance and a member of staff will guide you into the building.

Our function room is upstairs. For anyone who uses a wheelchair or can’t manage the stairs, we have a lift in the furniture shop, which is interconnected to our building.

Drive down London Road in the main shopping area. At the end of the road you’ll reach the Santander bank and you’ll see the furniture store next to us.

Funeral arranging

We’ve been caring for bereaved families for more than 150 years. In that time we’ve learnt a lot about how to help families say a fitting goodbye to their loved ones.
