Funeral vehicles

Elegant Jaguar hearse and limousines or a classic, vintage Daimler to a range of unique hearses including horse-drawn, VW camper and even a tractor.

Jaguar fleet

Selected to provide both comfort and style, our state-of-the-art Jaguar fleet ensures you arrive composed and prepared for the ceremony. All finished in a traditional, reserved shade of black the time-honoured standard for funeral transportation.

Daimler hearse

Identical to the one used for Princess Diana’s funeral, our classic Daimler DS420 hearse has been in service, from new, since 1990. We have meticulously taken care of this vehicle over the years to keep it in perfect condition, most recently the bodywork underwent a full restoration.

Horse-drawn hearse

We have a long history of providing horse-drawn hearses, with our own being widely used in the 1800s. It’s now too fragile and is kept on display, but we have a longstanding relationship with a local firm who operates horse-drawn hearses.

Alternative vehicles

We have a network of specialist suppliers who operate all kinds of interesting alternative hearses. A few examples of these are shown below. If you are thinking about a specific vehicle not shown below, we’ll do what we can to source it for you.

Mercedes ambulance

As well as our ceremonial vehicles, we operate a Mercedes estate ambulance for transporting your loved one to our premises. Discreetly finished in black, it’s ideal for collection from a private residence or nursing home.

Useful information

A mixture of vehicles can be chosen to suit passenger numbers and your preferences. Our limousines can seat seven passengers and the saloons can seat three. Additional vehicles can also be hired if you need them, however, we cannot guarantee they will match our fleet.

When choosing a horse-drawn hearse, you can select between a black carriage with black horses or a white carriage with grey horses. The carriage can be pulled by either two or four horses.

A few common examples of vehicle and travel arrangements for a funeral are outlined below. Your funeral director will walk you through all the available options before you make a decision.

  • Our simplest service will transport the coffin from our premises to meet the family at the destination.
  • The hearse can meet the family at home so that the funeral party can follow behind in their own vehicles.
  • The hearse and limousines can both meet the family at home and they can leave together.
  • The limousines can collect the family and the hearse can go directly to the destination.
